The Virginia Institute of Marine Science, located at William and Mary’s Gloucester Point campus, is recognized worldwide for its expertise in coastal marine science. Graduate students in Masters and PhD programs at the School of Marine Science conduct research in the major areas of study such as biological, chemical, and physical oceanography; genetics; immunology; toxicology; fisheries; wetlands science; aquatic disease; aquaculture and computational modeling.
