John Tyler, Esq., Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia: To all to whom these presents shall come, Greeting: Know ye, That in conformity with a Survey, made on the twenty ninth day of March, 1825, by virtue of a Land office Treasury warrant No. 7799 issued December 7th 1824 there is granted by the said Commonwealth, unto Captn Peter Land, A certain Tract of Parcel of Marsh Land, containing Fifty-two acres, situate in the County of Princess-Anne, in Muddy Creek and bounded as followeth, to wit: Beginning at a cedar a corner line tree in David Capps' line, and thence [?] E, 3 chains to a stake; thence 70 W, 35 chains to a stake on the edge of the bay; thence due North 30 chains to a stake at the mouth of Cedar Creek; and thence 62 E, 34 1/2 chains to the beginning. To have and to hold the said Tract or Parcel of Marsh Land, with its appurtenances, to the said Peter Land, and his heirs, forever. In witness whereof, the said John Tyler, Esq., Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia, hath hereunto set his Hand, and caused the lesser Seal of the said Commonwealth to be affixed, at Richmond, on the ninth day of August, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty-six, and of the Commonwealth the fifty-first.
