To The Hon. [?] George Tucker Richmond Virginia Washington Jan: 30 1833 Dear Sir: Mr John B. White of Hamshire county. The son of the late judge White enclosed me the two newspapers which you will find accompanying this containing obituary notices of his father with the request that after reviewing them I should forward them to you. In compliance with his wishes I now do so- He expresses great anxiety for their preservation- The purpose which he proposes you shall make of them is unknown to me, but I presume he has communicated with you upon the subject- I have nothing politically new- The S. Carolina affair swallows up all other subjects. I cannot doubt but that it is the settled purpose of many here to put her to the sword- Whether this will be accomplished or not time will develop. I [?] leave to tender you assurances of high high respect Very truly & respectfully Your John Tyler Hon. H. St George Tucker
