Dear Sir
The President is worse to day than yesterday
I did not see him but am this moment informed by
Cob Cabale who has seen him, and will be obliged
as he says to take Calomel, this he ought to have done
sooner, do not speak of his illness, for fear of excitement,
but I think you probably had better come soon,
private and confidential.
