Dear friend, Your letter received & handed over to Robbie who has written to Lachlan & is ready for the telegraph.  I am in Newark for a week having just returned from the South with [?], who I have brought North on account of her very delicate health.  I am to take her to the sea somewhere, I have not made up my mind where.  She has been an invalid for some years - and we hope that a radical change of air & scene may cure her.- dear Julia I did receive your letter & postponed writing from day to day & thus neglected it I will write to you soon - ever with sincere affection
