Dear Sir

		Has general Jackson made a report of his proceedings in Florida, since I left the city? It was expected then expected daily, and I hope that it will not be long delayd. Has further intelligence been receivd of our comrs, since they left Buenos ayres? I shall be ready to return, on intimation, either, that the expected report is receivd, or that our commissrs have arriv’d.
	If no report is soon recd., it will merit consideration whether an answer should be delayd, longer [paper torn] from [paper torn] of the Spanish minister.
