Thanks Jefferson for advice regarding his [Pictet's] intention to live in America; due to Jefferson's advice he has decided to stay in Geneva until the storms calm; writes to recommend a friend, Henri Esch, going to America for business; wished to send Jefferson a copy of the Bibliotheque Britannique, but found no one willing to transport 35 volumes; is sending some articles from the volumes to which he contributed with M. Esch. |
