Abstract: Concerns the strong winds experienced in France which makes sailing difficult; walked ten miles in search of two shepherd dogs in a storm; came upon the body of man who had just committed suicide; waiting to disembark when the winds die down; Mr. Nathaniel Cutting accompanies Jefferson to Cowes.
