Abstract: Hopes that Short received the $750 bank note; the balance of the debt is now $793.93 which Jefferson hopes to send to Short on July 6th if Short will still be in New York; "Carter's deed" was turned into the courthouse and most likely recorded by now; the second cask of Cahusac has been shipped up the river, but only before it went to Guadalupe; wants more bottles from Madame de la Rochefoucault; asks Short to make this request and give Jefferson's regards to Madame de la Rochefoucault.
