Abstract: Resolutions in last court relative to encouragement of home manufacturers; citizens of Powhatan to appear in complete suit of homespun on certain day; asks president to do the same; Tories disliked Jefferson's plain dress and his wearing homespun now would drive them out of country in disgust but to American people it would be elegant and patriotic.
