Joins him in the opinion that inspection of the upper country would be of public utility and would secure a number of able-bodied people inhabiting good lands to industry; the wretched state of the flower [sic] trade is such that it must be improved by any possible means; if Jefferson has the time to attend to these objects it would be the proper season to do so. |
