Abstract: Has seen account of threshing machine [Jefferson] has which was made in Scotland; asks if it was imported or made here from model; came from Scotland where he was a threshing-machine-maker; is now making Meikle's Scotch machines; asks help in giving machine publicity; other machines should be used here: Cartright's three-furrow plow, Ducket's trenching plow, Cook's drill, Scotch turnip drill; wheel carriages improved by greater number of wheels.
