Charles Lewis on his way to Natchitiche died here 12th August; believes he is Jefferson's nephew ; description of territory; people are prejudiced against U.S.; believe Spain would have satisfied their claims; U.S. disposed to curtail rights of claimants; Mr. Thompson and self endeavor to remove prejudices.
