Abstract: Was absent during visit of Mr. Holly who brought his letter of Feb. 11; grateful for the pamphlets sent of Constant and Scheffer; these and others explain state and prospects of Europe; believes France and countries north will attain object of representative government in which people have effectual control; hopes Quesney will have safe entrance into country and find oppression withdrawn.
