Abstract: Has been ill for the last three months; focusing his attention on the establishment of what he hopes will be the University of Virginia; plans to have ten professors there, the "ablest which America or Europe can furnish"; they will live in an academic village together, one per house; the buildings "shall be models of chaste architecture."
