Abstract: Thanks Price for his communications of December 9 and 15; returns the letter Price forwarded to him; it was the first information we received that shipments in English and Spanish vessels for [Baton Rouge] were actually preparing; aware that it might take place, however, orders had been given both on the river and lake which will prevent their success.
