Abstract: Favor of 21st received, with Col. Peyton's acknowledgment of receipt of $118 balance due him from Ronald's estate; University worth a visit from Pleasants; withdrawn from politics, but realizes the encroachments of the supreme court upon rights of the states; principles of court are leading to consolidated government, which will be a corrupt one; Congress has gone more than halfway to meet the Federalists.
