Informs he is son of John Ruddock, of Boston, only man who defended liberty of U.S. with Gov. Samuel Adams; in 1799 twenty masters of American vessels in Jamaica petitioned for him to be American agent there in place of Savage; Dr. Jarvis and Dr. Wm. Eustice acquainted with him in Boston; well qualified and willing to serve country in a foreign office. |
