Abstract: Received a letter and a packet of grass seed from his uncle to be delivered to Jefferson; the letter and seed were not delivered; Ramsay forwards the letter but has misplaced the seed; there is a bookseller in Paris who owes Ramsay's uncle money; hopes that Jefferson can take care of this business for him; the money is to be paid to Mr. John Fraser who has just returned from gathering plants in South Carolina and Georgia; Fraser has discovered several new plants and has brought the seeds to Paris; Fraser will be able to describe the missing grass seed to Jefferson.
