Author: Jefferson, Thomas, 1743-1826
Abstract: Concerns a bill passed in the Senate that moved the government to Philadelphia for ten years then to Georgetown; the bill has not passed the House of Representatives yet; wants his furniture sent to Philadelphia rather than New York if possible; this will save money and embarrassment at the custom house; the packet sails today which is why Jefferson does not write more to William Short.
