Transmits manuscript relative to French Revolution; been circumstantial about Marquis Lafayette; it is thought the U.S. might interfere in his behalf or that the Executive might demand him as a citizen of the U.S.; will visit south of the Ohio and then return to Europe; should any application to Court of Berlin be necessary, will be happy to assist; will be in Richmond until the 15th. |
