dc.description.abstract |
Advises Short on how to obtain a title for his land in tidewater Virginia; plan for the University of Virginia calls for ten professors; Jefferson is named one of the commissioners who will pick a site for it, likely to be Central College outside of Charlottesville; though he "enjoy[s] perfect health," Jefferson is achy--he has trouble walking great distances, he tires easy, and his wrist is stiff and painful. |
