Hauterive who will be in America as consul; because of events of the last year the Sciences have suffered and the Academy has done almost nothing except as regards weights and mesures; includes a memoire by M. De Borda regarding weights and measures that was read at the national convention; received the map and work by M. Churchman; will write more in the next month or two regarding Churchman; reflects on the progress made since the Declaration of Independence and on the happy advantages of the American Revolution. |
