Abstract: | Concerns the map of Virginia to be printed on bank paper in London if necessary; the seeds from London; remind Madame Adrienne Catherine de Noailles, Comtesse de Tesse that the seeds are an abundance of only a few varieties ordered for Monsieur de Malesherbes and to not be disappointed; regards to Adrienne Catherine de Noailles, Comtesse de Tesse and Madame Sophie Ernestine de Tott; comments on Jean Jacques Rousseau's description of Montpelier; does not know where to find one of his books for Michel Guillaume St. John de de Crévecoeur; hopes to meet Col. William Stephens Smith in Bordeaux; the signing of Jefferson and William Short's names to petitions without their permission; the cost of Ramsay's history book in London; the waters of Aix en Provence had no effect on Jefferson's injured wrist; Jefferson saw Madame Lemoyne de Pontheuil act in the theatre. She is better than Madame Louise Dugazon; William Short is to ask Monsieur Jean Francois Frouille to find the book, Ephemerides societatis meteorologicae Palatinae; Adrien Petit is to make sure the servants have vacated the house by the 25th. |
