Abstract: Transcription of a letter, 30 July 1807, from Bishop James Madison, President of the College of William and Mary, to William H. Cabell, Governor of Virginia, asking permission to allow a free African American, Rozarro, to attend lectures at the College of William and Mary. The transcription was completed by Terry L. Meyers, Chancellor Professor of English at the College of William and Mary, in 2012.
