Florence Barber, an African American woman living in Portsmouth, Virginia at the turn of the 20th century. The identification was written in 2011 by Lauren Wallace, a graduate student in the Department of History. The transcript was created by Grace Hindman, class of 2011, as part of the Lemon Project under professor Jody Allen. |
