Abstract: Sends information about his "departed friend" General Brazure W. Pryor, especially his bravery while commanding an artillery comany at the Battle of Hampton [War of 1812] so that his widow Elizabeth (Deneufville) Pryor could receive a land bounty; he [JT] nominated him to be elected Brigadier General in the winter of 1815-1816, served with him in legislature, and recommended him to be Collector at Norfolk, where he served until his death.
