Abstract: Discusses business disappointments--postponement of the sale of land in Kentucky and in the sale of his corn;whishes to take advantage of Mason's offer to endorse and to negotiate through the banks the note and thereby discharge his obligations to the James River and Kanawha Canal Company by July 1.
