Abstract: Comments on the 1860 presidential election and how the Virginia delegates stand on the candidacies of Robert M.T. Hunter, Henry A. Wise, and Stephen Douglass; his speech at a Richmond banquet was highly applauded; Mrs. Tyler's ill health, and his son's handwriting which rivaled Napoleon's.
