Abstract: Wants Gardiner to see him on his way back to New York as there are many things of "vast importance" about which they should discuss; reports that Broderick wants the Secretary of Treasury to act in his behalf; Tyler feels that this is an extremely important matter and thinks that the President should be informed of it.
