dcterms.description |
Two letters; T/Sgt Earl G. Palmer, Italy, to Miss Bertha Osborn, Elkins, Park, PA, May 2 and July 4, 1844, US Army Air Corps. Photograph of Palmer included.
1st letter; Flirts with Osborn. I am in an engineering outfit. I lost $75 in a poker game. 2nd letter; I am waiting to come home, and without a Purple Heart, thats something that made my mother happy. But waiting around in camp is worse than flying in combat. I took the 4-leaf clover with my on my last mission, I cant say if its luck or my pilots brought me back alive, and flirts with Osborn. |
