dc.description.abstract My husband [Gouverneur Morris] died- David Ogden has swindled us out of everything- Sam Ogden, his father, sold his son northern land for $85,000- my husband became his security- Mr. Moss Kent who is helping me in the estate affairs tells me we shall lose $140,000- Gouverneur cries to see his father- am having a vault made so when I die I can be put beside him.
