dcterms.description Letter from Jessie M. Wimberly, aboard the USS Boxer in the Yellow Sea, to G. Sizemore, Clovis, NM. US Navy. "We went from Pearl [Harbor] to Tokyo, although I didn't get ashore. 10% of the crew at a time did go ashore, but accompanied by an officer with a sidearm. Then we went to Okinawa. I'm not one to say much about the chow, but boy it is bad now.I've been trying to get off this ship."
