Yelverton O. and Elizabeth Kent Oral History Interview

Abstract

This interview was conducted as part of the College of William and Mary Oral History Project. Mr. and Mrs. Kent were longtime residents of the Williamsburg community. In 1931, Mr. Kent came to the College to teach in the newly formed Flight School, was steward in the Dining Hall from 1933 to 1934, and was a manager of the College Bookstore by the time he left the College in 1971. Some topics discussed include: F.H.C. Society - p. 20; Women/Admission of Women in 1918 - p. 3-4, 8-10, 23, 39. *On page 44, K. C. [Kenneth] Chorley is mistakenly identified as "K. C. Charles."
