Abstract: | This interview was conducted as part of the College of William and Mary Oral History Project. Mrs. Dillard and Mrs. Montague grew up in Williamsburg, the daughters of Van F. Garrett, one of the "Seven Wise Men" of William and Mary professors. Their recollections of their childhood days before World War I are sharp, delightful, and all too brief. The ladies were interviewed simultaneously, as they felt they could spur each others memory. |
