Carter O. Lowance Oral History Interview

Abstract: This interview was conducted as part of the College of William and Mary Oral History Project. When he came to William and Mary in 1970 as executive vice-president Carter Lowance already had served in various capacities in state government for over twenty years, and in 1974 he left the College to return to Richmond as executive secretary to Governor Godwin. Mr. Lowance was a member of the committee that set up the oral history project at William and Mary.
