Abstract: | This interview was conducted as part of the College of William and Mary Oral History Project. In 1930 Charles F. Marsh came to William and Mary to teach in the department of Economics and Business Administration. Although an economist by training he also taught business courses. After World War II he as one of the authors of "The Hampton Roads Communities in World War II". During the presidency of Alvin Duke Chandler, Dr. Marsh was Dean of the College, serving from 1952 to 1958. In 1958 he resigned to accept the presidency of Wofford College in South Carolina. He returned to Williamsburg in 1968, occasionally lecturing at the School of Business. |
