Colgate W. Darden, Jr. Oral History

Abstract: This interview was conducted as part of the College of William and Mary Oral History Project. Colgate Darden is one of those people who has been associated with William and Mary in a statewide contest. From 1942 to 1946 he served as governor of Virginia, and in this interview he discusses issues dealing with William and Mary during this period. From 1946 to 1947, he was honorary chancellor of the college, resigning to accept the presidency of the University of Virginia.
