dc.description.abstract |
This interview was conducted as part of the College of William and Mary Oral History Project. After graduation from William and Mary in 1932, Davis Y. Paschall served as a classroom teacher and principal in Lunenburg County, Virginia. Following service in the US Navy in World War II, he held various positions in the Virginia State Department of Education and in June, 1960 was elected by the Board of Visitors as the twenty-third president of William and Mary. In 1971 he resigned the presidency for health reasons. |
